Morris H. Whitehouse architectural photographs collection [graphic], 1906-1975.

The photographs provide a comprehensive representation of the work of Morris H. Whitehouse, his firms and successors. Images (1911-1975) include construction views and exterior and interior views of buildings designed by Whitehouse and successor firms, primarily in Oregon but also in Idaho and Washington state. Many projects from the 1930s-1940s were photographed by renowned architectural photographer Walter Boychuk. A few portraits of Whitehouse and Walter E. Church are included. The collection also incorporates several works of art produced by Whitehouse while traveling and studying in Europe.

Morris H. Whitehouse (1878-1944) was a Portland, Or.-based architect who established and directed several architectural firms which designed hundreds of projects in the Pacific Northwest, 1907-1985. Whitehouse graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) in 1906 and studied at the American Academy in Rome, Italy.
